About

Our Mission: To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans.
Our Vision: Ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans’ service organization composed of veterans of overseas conflicts.  Founded in 1899 and chartered by Congress in 1936, the VFW is the nation’s largest and oldest organization of war veterans.

Capitol City Post 63 is the oldest and largest post in the State of Idaho.  Capitol City Post 63 and its Auxiliary are dedicated to “honor the dead by helping the living” by serving veterans directly, sponsoring youth programs, conducting Buddy Poppy drives and providing military service programs.  For more information, to join or volunteer, contact the VFW Post 63 commander@vfwpost63.org.
