DESCRIPTION:The Idaho Department of the VFW in conjunction with the Idaho Division of Veterans Services and the State of Idaho would like to recognize the following dates and honor the sacrifice of our war veterans on their own significant day. These dates will be celebrated each year.\nMarch 29 – Vietnam War Veterans\nJuly 27 – Korean War Veterans\nAugust 8 – Persian Gulf War Veterans\n3rd Friday in September – National POW/MIA Day (September 15 this year)\nOctober 7 – Global War on Terror Veterans\nDecember 7 – World War II Veterans \nWe encourage every organization and community to recognize these dates. If you are planning a special celebration\, please let me know and I will help promote it across Idaho.
